The author of the book, Mary Vasilakakos is a senior educator with extensive experience in Higher Education teaching, curriculum development and course design. She is a foundation member in the field of bilingual education in translating and Interpreting in Australia, having worked in this field since its inception in the late 1970's and early 1980's. She is also the co-author of the seminal textbook "Liaison Interpreting, a Handbook." The books are edited by Silvana Pavloska.
